Dr. Florence Nafula

Pesident and CEO

Dr. Florence Nafula is the current President and CEO of Adopt A Smile. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in public health at the Aga khan University and a Master of Public Health in BRAC James P grant School of Public Health BRAC University in Bangladesh. Florence was recruited by the ministry of health in Kenya and later made significant humanitarian contributions in Kakuma, Haiti and several other local and international disaster stricken and underserved communities.

Florence joined Adopt A Smile in 2021 in response to her passion for serving humanity and improving access to oral health education and hygiene among school-going children in underserved communities in Kenya. She brings extensive leadership experience in public health, humanitarian programming, community development, and strategic partnerships. Under her leadership, the organization has strengthened its commitment to improving oral health outcomes among vulnerable school-going children through innovative programs, strategic partnerships, and sustainable community-based interventions.

As President and CEO, Florence provides overall strategic direction, oversees organizational growth, fosters partnerships, and ensures the organization remains focused on its mission of transforming lives through improved oral health and hygiene practices.

Mannasses Elikana

Chief Finance Officer

As the Chief Finance Officer, Mannasses champions the organizational core value that the resources entrusted to Adopt A Smile by donors and partners are a responsibility to be managed with integrity, transparency, and accountability on behalf of underserved communities the organization serves. Equipped with a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from Kenyatta University, a Master of Science in Finance from the University of Nairobi, Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certification, and Certified Public Accountant (CPA)(KASNEB) qualifications, Mannasses provides strategic financial leadership to the organization.

He oversees financial planning, budgeting, grant compliance, risk management, financial reporting, and resource stewardship. His expertise ensures that organizational resources are utilized effectively to maximize impact while maintaining the highest standards of financial accountability and governance. Mannasses plays a critical role in strengthening financial accountability, supporting donor compliance requirements, and guiding sound financial decision-making across the organization.

Agnes Midika

Administrator Grants

Agnes’s specialty lies deeply in fundraising, and grant administration. She plays a key role in supporting resource mobilization efforts and strengthening partnerships that advance the mission of Adopt A Smile.

She coordinates grant applications, donor reporting, project tracking, and partnership engagement while ensuring effective implementation of funded programs. Agnes is passionate in enhancing donor engagement to support sustainable growth. Her dedication to project excellence and relationship management contributes significantly to the successful delivery of programs that benefit school-going children in underserved communities.

Stanislaus Marambe

Programs Coordinator

Stanislaus Marambe serves as the Programs Coordinator at Adopt A Smile, where he oversees the design, planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the organization’s programs and projects. He plays a key role in ensuring that all interventions are effectively delivered, aligned with organizational goals, and responsive to the needs of the communities served. In his role, Stanslaus coordinates program activities while working closely with staff, volunteers and stakeholders such as schools, community leaders and other development partners, and ensures the efficient utilization of resources to maximize impact. He is responsible for tracking program performance, collecting and analyzing data, preparing reports, and supporting continuous learning and improvement across all projects.

With a strong commitment to community development, child welfare, oral health education and hygiene promotion, Stanislaus works to strengthen sustainable interventions that improve the well-being of vulnerable school-going children in underserved communities. His leadership, collaborative approach, and passion for social impact contribute significantly to advancing Adopt A Smile’s mission of creating healthier, empowered, and resilient communities across Kenya.

Ruth Kinyanjui

Human resource and Communications

Ruth is a dedicated human resource and communications professional with a passion for fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performing work environment where every team member is empowered to maximize their potential and contribute meaningfully to the organization’s mission.

As the Human Resources and Communications Officer at Adopt A Smile, she oversees key human resource functions, including talent acquisition, staff development, employee welfare, performance management, policy implementation, and organizational culture enhancement. She is committed to building a motivated and engaged workforce that drives organizational excellence and sustainable impact.

In addition, Ruth leads the organization’s internal and external communication efforts, strengthening stakeholder engagement, brand visibility, and public relations. Through strategic communication initiatives and people-centered leadership, she helps cultivate strong relationships with partners, donors, beneficiaries, and the wider community.

Her dedication to effective workforce management and impactful communication contributes significantly to advancing Adopt A Smile’s mission of improving the lives of vulnerable school-going  children and communities across Kenya.
