It Takes a Community to Change a Child’s Smile and our volunteers are at the heart of everything we do!
Behind every successful ADOPT A SMILE school outreach program, our volunteers generously give their time, skills, energy and compassion to help us deliver quality oral health/hygiene education to the vulnerable children and communities.
From dentists, oral health professionals, teachers, students, families, community members and other passionate individuals, our program brings together many hands and many hearts working together hand in hand to give vulnerable children a reason to smile.
Volunteers give their time and energy, helping with registration, mobilization, education, distribution of oral hygiene supplies and creating a welcoming environment for children.
Oral health professionals generously share their expertise by providing oral health/hygiene education and demonstrations while helping children understand the importance of taking care and preserving their natural teeth.
Teachers who are also role models play a critical role in mobilizing learners, creating awareness and reinforcing good oral hygiene practices long after our outreach team leaves the schools.
Families, community members and caregivers help us reach children and create an environment where oral health becomes a shared responsibility.
